Hey guys i know the 94-95 computers are very poor when
putting performance parts on your engine. But a friend told
me to get a 91-92 computer and put it in my car and retro fit it.
I wanted to know what you guys think about these.
Thanks,

The pin settings are different, the board is different programming, etc. I myself have never seen it done, if you can get the wiring right who knows. But I've never seen it done, Mike. SCT Tuner.

Those are old wives' tales. The '94-'95 computer will adapt very well to basic bolt-on performance mods, and it'll even adapt to most heads/intake mods as long as the injectors are correctly sized and the MAF is calibrated for those injectors.
What this computer doesn't like is cam changes 'cause the PIP sensor reads the cam position and it can't adapt to cams whose specs deviate far from stock.
Agree with above. If you dont add a big cam you will be fine. And instead of changing the computer a custom dyno tuner can install a chip to fix any issues you have. If you add heads intake and cam a dyno tune is almost a must to get good driveability and max power.

I have the stock computer and have done all mods other than cam and still no problems with computer.
I wouldn't take a step backwards. 94-95 is a very capable PCM. I have a ton of mods in my sig. Until this last round with the new cam and injectors, I was fine with stock PCM. Added the Tweecer tuner, and now my driveability is better than it was with an unmodified car.

I just went through the a9l nightmare. I bought a 94gt a few months ago with a e303 and it ran horrible. I tried the a9l swap. $200 for the a9l on 50resto.com. It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to change the pins around and wire up the $80 bap sensor. Not to mention I hacked up the old harness by breaking a few clips in the 60pin connector(you will break them). Once you got it in, your cooling fan will always be on so you will have to hook up some type on switch for that. Also your IAC sensor will not read right due to the 94 having that sensor in the air tube and not runner number 5 in the intake like the fox's so your car may not start up when hot. You will also have to adjust the TPS sensor and idle b/c the a9l will not adjust as well as our comps do...So after hooking it all up the car would surge and die when cold and run sluggish when warm. So then I erased more codes and got a code 11 on both koer and kero and still ran like crap.
So then I spend $180 for a ecu harness on ebay to install the 94 comp back in to get it tuned. Well UPS lost the package and took my money so I ordered another harness for $180 and it took me a few hours to put it in. Boom the car still runs great on no tune.

Thats my story but no car is the same of course.
$380 would have bought you a Moates QH or TwEECer, no wiring work to do, and ensure the tune-ability of your setup forever regardless of the upgrades you throw at it, but most importantly, without any wiring harness alterations.

For one, do you have standard or auto? If it is auto then you have an AODE which is also controlled by the computer so theres your first big problem. Second I agree with those saying get it dyno tuned. There are several places that can do it for a very reasonable price and it will be worth every dime.
I agree Joel. This was my first 5.0 to play with and I went backwards. MustangGT95 go get a self tuner or a dyno tune and find out what the car is thinking, Don't guess. It will save you all kinds of money in the end. Even A9L's need to be tuned...Goodluck.

I am looking to either S/C my car or do some engine work but am unsure what to do as I am not well versed in fuel injection, I am not afraid of trying though. Will the car run without issues with an intake, head, T/B, Pmass and injector swap without major issues? I read a lot about people having "Issues" with the 94-95 cars and I hear a lot of people have success with them as well. What seems to be the better tuning system; Tweecer, QH or Anderson Piggie back?
