Ok so u guys have done a pretty good job in swaying me towards keeping my GT. Sorry about flooding you guys with posts, but hey thats what AFM is here for right? Any way if I do keep it, I want to atleast be as fast as a Cobra. So im looking at a Complete motor assembly from Summit, or any other parts dealer. As the satng is my DD i need it realiable. I drive at least 1 100 mile trip a weekend. So how realiable is the 347 Vs the 331 or 302-306. And anyone know where i can find one at a good price. For a good quality built engine. Thanks

A 306 is just a 302ci bored .030 over. There are no power gains from the extra 4 cubic inches really. The 347 vs. 331 debate is endless. Different people are loyal to different strokes... "different strokes for different folks" right?
The 347 has a bad rep from back in the day. They HAD problems with burning oil and something about the wrist pin placement or something like that.
There is a thread in the 5.0 Tech section about the 347 vs. 331. But simply put, both are great kits if built correctly. And remember there is no REplacement for DISplacement.
You can make your 302ci really fast. But of course the extra displacement of a stroker has much more potential and you can get more power out of a stroker easier than a standard stroke 302 with the same parts.
You can get crate engines from Summit, JEGS, 50resto.com, Ford Racing, and engine builders. Just check around and you'll find a lot.

Thanks to both of you. I heard about the 331 Vs 347 and just wanted to know wich is more reliable. and ive heard a lot of bad on the 347. So maybe ill stick with the 331 to be safe. Any problems with overheating on those strokers? I do live in FL so it gets HOT!

A lot of the bad you hear about 347's now is just rumors from back when they DID have problems. But those problems have been solved now.
But there is nothing wrong with a 331 either if you want to be "safe". If I do a stroker instead of a 351W based engine, I'm going with a 331.
Like I said... "different strokes for different folks"!

The problems you've probably heard about the 347 are from the early days, when the ring positioning on the pistons would allow it to consume oil. The newer kits have addressed this problem, so it's not near as bad as it used to be. Now, it'll come down to how well the engine is assembled and they can be maintained to live a long and powerful life.
Either the 331 or 347 will make more than enough power to satisfy your craving for power.
I would say contact a real engine builder, not a parts supplier.

how much would i be looking at spending on it. Are you happy with it?
I think if the ProMotion T-5 can handle Reggie's 10 second car it could definitely handle whatever you throw at it.

The reconditioned cobra T5 holding 370 HP should be all i need right?
That should be plenty right now.

Externally, the 331ci is the same exact thing as a 302. It will be no different than having your current engine in your engine bay.
