My 94 GT boggs down when I push the throttle quickly. I replaced engine 11 mo ago. New distributor 3 months ago. New fuel filter 3 days ago (clean on tank side but liquid charcoal on engine side), new battery 2 days ago, and new fuel pump today. THe prblem was lessened but still present with sudden acceleration. Could it be dirty fuel lines/ injectors? a bad MAF? a bad ICRM/ CCRM? a bad fuel pressure regulator? a faulty PIP? or something else? Any help is appreciated!
hello try some 44k its injector cleaner mine did the same thing this stuff is killer im not sure if you can get it out there but stay with a good name brand if not also look into electronic cleaner for your maf its like brake clean but made not to mess up the wire hope this helps
put in some Lucas fuel injector cleaner. Now she dies going up hill, turning, or when any other load is put on her. Ran fuel pressure test: 40 with key on engine off and 32 with idle. Shot some cleaner in the MAF and one diode looks like a tiny, and I mean tiny, piece of 'carbon' that wont come off. Before I dump another $300 chasing ghosts, is that enough to set it off?
Kinda sounds like a inertia switch problem. Ive seen that before. Ive also seen the baffle in the tank come loose and cause the same thing. But you should here that rattling. And usually happens when fuel level is low.

I've been to 2 part stores and a mechanic friend, all of which had an OBD2 handheld scanner and NONE could read anything. Guess I need to get diag. done @ dealer...?

The button isnt tripped, do you think the switch is bad?
Did you Run the codes? On the above mentioned things done, when did the problem start?
OBD-2 port not working... found OBD-1 under hood on passenger side it read the following:112, 113, 157, 172, 176, 542.
other info that now appears relevent: ABS idiot light burns constantly- could this mean the breaks are binding. What type of device reads the ABS module under hood?
94 GT boss with hpipes that's having rapid acceleration bogg down issues. CEL is sporatic, problem started with interstate passing speeds (4 months ago), now includes rapid acceleration and turning (etc). ABS light on for 1.5 weeks before problem worsened. WHAT I KNOW: Breaks not binding, installed new engine, new plugs, new coil, new coil wire, new MAF, new TFI (ICM), new battery, new fuel filter, new fuel pump, new air temp sensor, new battery terminals. No vaccum leaks. Fuel pressure KOEO= 30psi, IDLE=40psi. When engine stalls instrument panel battery jumps up, but still within "NORMAL" range. Oil pressure and level are good. OBD-2 under dash doesn't read (3 different tools), but OBD-1 under hood gives the following codes: 112 (intake air temp sensor circuit grounded/ above 245F), 113 (intake air temp sensor circuit open/ below -40F), 157 (MAF below minimum voltage), 172 (Hot O2 lean on right side), 176 (Hot O2 lean on left side), 542 (Fuel pump circuit open; PCM to motor). Please help! ! !
