Default Power to tire lag

Well i dropped my brother off at school and was heading home. Got on the main road and some ass hole cuts me off in a dodge truck (could tell exactly cuz i was pissed and dont know much about trucks) and I put my blinker on and pass him on the left. It wasnt a normal pass i kinda gun it. But when I gave it full throtle there was a 1-2 second lag before i could feel the car actually do something. Like it will get somewhat faster when i punch it but then outta now where it will finally make some power. Maybe this is normal or maybe its the transmission. If it the tranny then thats great. Im bringing it it this week for its 300 mile tune up. Maybe they can fix that. But if its not the tranny what is it?

What tranny do you have, T-5 or auto?

Then its normal. It takes a second or two for the tranny to acknowledge you are at WOT and shift down.

Its the transmission. if your still under warranty get it rebuilt. Its going to die on you in little under 2 years if you race it or just have a heavy foot. I changed out the TPS MLP Shift solenoid and it was still doing the same mine would rev up till it got high enough to were it would up shift and then take off. I'm saving up to get the PA AOD-E Transmission.

Mine now doesnt catch 3rd not one bit and even when going 75 in 2nd gear it wont shift into 4th.

A shift kit definitely won't get rid of the lag. I think it's just a normal part of the computer programming so maybe the lag could be shortened by reprogramming the computer.

stall would help sounds like maybe a timing issue or a tune up. Shouldnt have lag only the split second it takes to down shift. Not sure on your cars is there stilla kick down adjustment?

No. The AODE/4R70W are electronically-controlled so there's no TV cable.
