Dont you think that this will adversely affect your ability to see at night? How about other drivers being able to see you from the rear? Remember that not all drivers can see as well as you may be able too! You may want to checl local law regauding the issue as well.
Have you thought about buying aftermarket lighets that at smoked or painted inside? Maybe some GTS Black Out light covers?

This is for COVERS though not the tint, I'm sure it's about the same. And it's for Michigan laws
Here's the exact wording: Question: Are smoked-out headlight covers legal? Answer: The Michigan Vehicle Code requires head lamps to emit a white light, with "high-beams" of intensity to reveal persons and vehicles at a distance of at least 350 feet ahead, and low-beams of intensity to reveal persons and vehicles at a distance of at least 100 feet ahead. Since smoked headlamp covers change the color of light, and/or decrease their intensity below the requirements, they should not be used when headlamps are required to be on. However, smoked headlamp covers may be used when headlamps are not on, and not required. Question: Is having smoked tail light/brake covers legal in Michigan? How about the smoked ones with slashes or vents in them showing a small part of the original red lens? Answer: MCL 257.686requires a tail lamp to emit a red light plainly visible for at least 500 feet to the rear of the vehicle.
MCL 257.697requires stop lamps to emit a red or amber light and be capable of being seen and distinguished from other lamps for a distance of 100 feet, including during normal daylight. If the cover you apply prohibits the lamp from meeting these requirements then it is unlawful.
If I was you I would use either VHT Nightshade or even do it the old school way with either tinting your clearcoat and spraying it on the lights or reducing a black paint until the intensity you prefer.
No, i dont think it will change the way i see at night. I plan on barely smoking them.
As for the law, not really worrying about it since i already am breaking the law with my window tint.
Thought about covers but dont really like the idea. Painting either in case i do have to remove them for some reason.
My main question is do you guys think it will look go on my white car.
Ultra clear headlights with clear corners look GREAT on a white car. I wouldn't tint the heads or tails if your car is white. I don't think it will look all that great.
But in regards to your original post... You could use the film on the headlights. That would be fairly easy. But I couldn't see how you would do it to your tail lights.
The '94-'95 horizontal tail light lenses don't seperate from the bezel like the verticals do. So even if you did do it, you would be pretty frustrated by the time it was over.
If you want to tint the tails, get some VHT Nightshades from Summit. It's like $12 a can. But don't use that stuff on your head lights since it has a slightly red tint to it.

although i have 96+ tail lights i still think it would be somewhat difficult with film.
trying to stay away from the spray in case i dont like it.
Well since you have the verticle tails, it shouldn't be that hard to do since the lenses seperate from the bezels.
You can always sand off the VHT if you don't like it...

true, but i heard its hard to go light with the VHT. I want it lightly tinted, not blacked out.
Wish i could see some pictures of a white sn95 with them done but cant find them.
You can go as light as you want with the VHT. Just depends on how many coats you put on. You just have to be very patient and make sure you do it right the first time.

I think that looks pretty sweet, especially if you went with some black rims.
