Default I can't Get Fuel lines off the Fuel pump. 1994 Mustang GT.

I pulled down the tank and i can't seem to get the lines off the fuel pump. do i need a specil tool or how do they come off? they slide up more onto pump but wont back off the pump.

You have to squeeze those tabs to make the circular clamp open.

mine don't have those tabs tho. i know what tabs usually are their but this one don't have them

ive been out their past hour looking at it and trying to jam it off. they are both on good.


Does anyone know how they come off?

i got them off with a flat head lol. i bent the line thingys down and it slid off. the removal tool didn't work.

I may be doing ths soon, so the fuel lines dont have the quick disconect fitting.

they do have the quick disconnect, but some are more stubborn than others. I got the feed line off easy on mine, but the return line fitting was stuck. I had to do like the OP and use a flathead to get that one off. If you happen to screw up the circular insert with the tabs you should be about to get replacements from the auto parts store. Or you could bend it back to the correct shape and put it back in.
