Default 1994 Mustang GT, Intake decision

OK so I have a decision to make and Im really on the fence with this. Either a 1993 cobra intake or a 1995 cobra intake or a real gt40 intake ... Should I go with one more than the other? I have a 1994 vert with a 1998 explorer intake now but will these be better?

What else has been done to your engine? If it's stock, then what are your plans for other mods? You need a balanced plan to build power. There is no real, "Silver Bullet" for making a ton of power with just one bolt on part. If you want to feel something in the seat of your pants, then a gear swap will do the most for you. Originally, I had my stock manifold (upper and lower) extrude honed and matched. Honestly, I couldn't feel the difference, and this was on a significantly modified engine.

Well for starters, I'd say that some other changes would be in order first. You have to get the mixture in and out, so that means at least a Cam change. First and foremost, there is no replacement for displacement, so give that some thought. As I said earlier, a gear swap might give you the additional punch that you are looking for. I like the 3.91 gear set in mine. If you are still pulling the stock set, it's kind of like dragging your fat Brother in Law behind you.

ok Im sorry I didnt clarify that either. I am going with 3.73 gears, and a cam from Trick Flow once I get the heads. I was kinda looking for info on which one would be the best buy. Thanks though I really do appreciate this!!!

All the GT40 intakes flow almost identicle. Doesn't matter if it's from a '93 Cobra, '95 Cobra, Tubular, or Exploder. They're all the same.

FYI-
The GT40 intake is advertised to only handle up to 350HP. I am starting to question that limit. I have recently met a couple of guys on OKDHM.com (Oklahoma Dead Horse Mustangs). One of the guys has a 347ci with hogged out E7's and Cobra intake. He said he dyno'd at 315HP to the wheels (that's more than 350 at the crank). Another guy has Tubular intake, AFR165's and Lunati cam making over 440 at the wheels with 6lbs of boost.
