40A Fuse Keeps Blowing - Please Help me with the WHY?!?! Hello all,
I have a 5 speed Mustang GT. I recently have been having problems with the 40A fuse going to the fuel pump!
It started a couple of months ago when I was driving down the road and all of a sudden the car just died! I had just had the pump replaced along with the filter so I was really baffled. I took it to a mechanic and he took down the pump to see if it would come on directly. It did and he really had no clue what was going on. He said he tampered with the harness that goes behind the engine and runs along the fire wall, replaced the fuse and it cranked!!!
Well, this lasted for about 500 miles or so before I am having the same problem only now it blows the fuse as soon as I replace it!!
I will test the fuse and its fine... put it in, turn the ignition, the pump doesn't prime and check the fuse and it's dead!!!
Please help me determine what could possibly be causing this!
