Default 1994 Mustang GT, Deleting smog pump!!

I am going to delete my smog pump on my 94 5.0, i have heard two different size belts to use. Can some tell me the right size i need to use, is it the 90.5 or 89.5? Thanks

It can be a number of sizes. Ive seen many of the same cars use different sizes. Ranging from 88.5-91. Just go to the parts store and see if they will let u take a size at a time and try them.

I just bypassed my smog pump today. went to napa auto parts store got a 89.5 inch belt and it fit perfect. i tried 3 different sizes till i got the right one the stock number and brand i got was the napa brand micro-v at 6 groove #0608888 it measured out to be 89.5 inches. i also have the undrive pullies on mine also.

The underdrives are the reason why you needed a belt shorter than 90.2". I've also deleted my smog pump and with the ASP underdrive crank pulley, I used the Gates K060868 belt (87.4").

wow, so many different size belts. I have a buddy that works at a parts store so im going to start at 91 and work my way down till i find on that fits. I plan on putting new pulleys on it, should i get them and put them on before i delete it?

do pullys first then the delete belt if not when you do underdrive pullys you will have to get a shorter belt.

I just went through this the other day and what fit on my 95 GT was a 91" belt...

In regard to that chart... Just yesterday my smog pump froze up on me, so I went and got a 82.7" belt and bypassed the smog & AC and it fit perfectly.

I used a 90 inch belt, fits perfect. I have all stock pullys.
