Hi friends, iīm interesting in making a mod to my 302 to swap a 351W, but i have a few questions:
1.- i know that the restirction of a 302 engine are the heads? in the 351W what is the restriction?
2.- Can i put a GT40p or GT40 heads in the 351W or which other ford have a better heads that the stock of the 351w?
3.- From which otherīs ford itīs better than the stock 351W uper and lower intake?
4.- i need to chande the computer of my 302 for one of 351W or i can use the same of my 302?
5.- i need to change some sensors like MAF, EGR, IAT etc...etc...
6.- what are the specs of the 302 engine and the 351W engine like torque, RPM and HP,
7.- i found a 351W from a pick up 1992 with EFI this is good for my swap
8.- what other things i have to look for make this mod.
9.- I donīt know if a want to make a stroked to 383 or just change Heads, cramshaft, for a better work......or what you recommend

i have a 351 in my '95 cobra it's pretty easy to do
i used a roller block with ported iron GT40's, 30 over forged flat top pistons, cobra roller rockers, 24lb injectors, F cam, stock MAF meter, stock throttle body. you will need a 351 fox body pan. it's a fairly easy swap, mine was easier because the car had no engine in it when i bought it. i used fox headers (JBA) and a fox H-pipe (had to cut the crossover tube) all sensors and that are re-usable, as well as the motor mounts, timing cover and brackets, you will need a 351 harmonic damper. the 92 351 would be a good start, but it really wasn't built for performance

not sure how much horsepower, never dyno-ed it. can tell you this though, it runs pretty good (and the chix dig it!)
if you' re going to do the 351 swap, it's easier than you think and cheaper than people will tell you (unless you have someone else do everything for you)

thanks 351GT40, so i can use the headers from a FOX, has to be v8 351 or the headers of the 302 works?, with this mods you give war to a chevy camaro or trans-am stock from 1994-up.

Check with Holcomb Motorsports for all the 351W swap items. They have SN95 specific items instead of using fox body stuff. All of the 5.0 performance items will work on the 5.8 and the efi motor you found will work perfect. You will need to have a dyno tune and a custom chip burnt. As far as HP FRPP has the 5.8 listed in thier catalog with gt40 heads at 360hp. So with a few minor mods and a good tune 400hp is well within reason.
i used the fox headers, and the fox h-pipe but had to cut and re-weld the crossover pipe, the 351 fox pan works fine, really no problems other than that, most of your 5.0L stuff transfers over to the 351 with the exception of course of the lower intake (i'm using a lightning lower with a 95 cobra "R" upper) just because it says 5.8L COBRA

Thanks friends, iaff284 do u have the page of this Holcomb Motorsports for parts...wich parts of the cobra R 95 engine that has the 351, can i put in my 351W....this because i have a friend who works in a ford dealer and he can give me the parts that i need in a good price, but i have to check that...because the Cobra R 1995 donīt sell out here in mexico.
Hey iaff i just got a 1994 v8 and wanted to put a new engine that can make around 400hp is there a kit if not maybe someone can list exatly what i would need to buy.
