Default how do i adjust the clutch cable on a 1994 Mustang gt

how can i adjust the clutch cable on the stang? i have to push the clutch to the floor to get the car in gear. the clutch isnt going out, it feels fine except for the pedal going to the floor to engage & disengage a gear. any advice is always welcomed.

Ok I believe they used a cable clutch up until the 95 mustangs so its gonna be pretty easy I had to do this on my 88 mustang. Up behind the gas pedal there should be a gear that the clutch cable connects into, there'll be two sets of gears one has a lever, you'll pull the lever and push the clutch to the floor and then release the lever and it should adjust it self by pushing the clutch in and letting it out a few times, its built to be an automatic adjusting but you can help it out some, you might check your cable too it might be stretched, thats what happened on mine I just baught a new cable for it

Sorry pal. Im not sure about the lever and gears, but it sounds like that old cable have had its better days. They dont cost much so just get an adjustable cable take about 30 min and put it on. now when your clutch feels funny just tighten it up and ride

Yeah Your cable is stretched I had to replace mine. They are cheap and pretty easy to put on. I got mine from americanmuscle.com it was like 40 dollars for a steeda.
