Default Best reference manual for 1995 Mustang GT 5.0

Can anyone suggest a good manual for the DIY mechanic? Would like to read up on our car.

Haynes manuel covers all the vital aspects of car repair and maintenance. You can buy the at most auto parts stores for twenty dollars. Good luck.

you can also find the actual Ford Service Manual on ebay or somethnig like that. they can be a bit pricey but tons of Great info. I am reading mine now trying to figure out why my self adjusting clutch wont self adjust. The Haynes manual is a bit vague in spots, the Ford Service manual is specific to that year model and covers just about everything you could think of. Hope that helps!!

books4cars.com is one and there is another one, but I can't find the name of it right now. books4cars.com is probably a little cheaper anyway and they have the stuff dealer service depts use and owners manuals and everything else that's too hard to find. That's where I got these last books for my '94GT. There's more than one book here, the techmanual, vacuum & electrical, and theres a smog book.
Most likely, they only have used. mine were used. It's like about 3 - 4" worth of material covering ONLY your year. Haynes and Chiltons covers several years and is only less than 3/4 thick, so you can imagine how much you don't get with those.
The books I got for my '06 were from that other place I can't remember the name of and they were over $200 for both, but those were brand new.
For your '95, should be around $100+ for everything.

+1 on the factory service manual. Nothing beats those. They can be had at a reasonable price on ebay and amazon, such as this:

1994 FORD MUSTANG FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL : eBay Motors (item 370173321990 end time May-08-10 14:39:48 PDT)

Thanks guys. I'm going to purchase the manuals from Toyman. Appreciate the responses.

Have already got our car running better with a few tips from the forum so we're looking forward to honing our skills. We've been racing karts for the past 6 years and are going to take a break and work on this project for a while.

You race Go-Karts?

That's awesome! I used to race Go-Karts back in the day, but it got WAY too expensive. It's definitely a rich man's sport.
I quit racing right before I got into the shifter Karts.... (damn!) I would have loved to have gone 120mph sitting 3 inches off the ground with no roll cage. What a rush!

Anyways, we have a Chilton's manual for every one of our cars. I had a Haynes manual for the Mustang and didn't care for it.
