You may have more luck in the general 5.0 tech section. Wider audience there than you will find here in the sn95 clique. Also, if it is a computer issue, the 88 is different than the one in the sn95s as well.

May want to PM a mod and ask to move it or copy and paste in a new thread?

Have you tried the regular maintenance stuff to eliminate easy causes? Is the MAF clean? Plugs, wires, etc. good?

That being said, the dizzy is a Mustang part. It may have a steel or cast gear - I believe you can get that part number either way. Assuming you have a roller cam, if it has a cast gear, it will cause you problems. The steel gear on the cam will chew up the cast gear on the dizzy (I think). Likewise, if you have a flat tappet cam in there and the dizzy has a steel gear, it will chew up the cam (I think I have those two correct as to which part will be getting chewed, but I am not 100% positive - all I know is that the gear material on the dizzy needs to match the cam, to be honest).

Not too helpful, but I wonder if maybe one or the other parts (cam or dizzy) has chewed up teeth on the gear?

how old are the plug and wires? it kinda sounds like you might have a wire breaking down possibly. i had a similar problem but my wire somehow separated from the loom and was barely hitting my header. burned a small hole through the shielding and at higher rpms the car would miss and spudder, but fine at idle and low rpms

it would most likely bog at lower rpms but clear up higher up in the rpm band since the pulsewidths of the injectors are still setup for the 19's. but im not 100 percent sure on that.
