Question I swap to a 5.0 engine now exhaust help

I have read many forum and before i started my swap looking for information was killer no body wanted to help and if they did try they never did do a 3.8 to 5.0 swap and was telling me a bunch of thing to change. Or they would say something crazy like it would be cheaper to buy a gt well. I wonder if they take in to consideration that a 5.0 is more expenive on insurance and a car that they think is a v6 insurance is much cheaper also when you restore an older car sometimes it costs you more then a new car .needless to say I am from the south and a Rebel and when someone tells me it can not be done or it is to hard I will give it a shot. but however here I am agian searching through these forums.

I started with a engine from a 1989 lincoln got an awesome deal for 300 dollars and 28,000 miles on the engine. anyways I changed the timing cover I changed the water pump I changed the front brackets I changed pullies and intake all i got off ebay cheap. I did not change suspension nor tranny as the aode from the 3.8 and 5.0 are the same only difference is that the 3.8 aode isn't as strong rated less on horse power however has the same gear ratios. This is just a stock mustang and not going to push to much power now I have only problem I need help with.

My exhaust I am using is the 3.8 and they are dual pipes.( like i said doing things cheap so far less then 1000 dollars total) but did the 94 95 mustangs have 2 cats or 4 cats? did they have more 02 sensors? also when I start the car it will idle fine then when I press the eccelerator it either dies or begins to die and the revs up. I did i did take off the the smog pump as it is not needed in my state and left the egr sensor pluged in but pluged up the vacuum holes. and the tab tad and evr is unpluged as well. If I am thinking right which most of the time i am not those 3 do not need to be connected (tab tad evr three connections under the passenger fender.) anyways I am needing help to figure this out. it goes forward and backwards but i need help with the exhaust and the trottle problem. Thanks and God bless

ok and another thing I have a white female connector on my 5.0 engine harness that is up by the firewall. When I called midwest mustang in lawerance kansas he had no idea what i was talking about said it might go to the airbags ...so maybe one of you with a factory 5.0 can look into your engine bay and help me. by the way anyone with a t-5 3.8 when you pull wiring harness off the t-5 there is the same female connector there and it is white. the reason I am saying this although I dont know what it is. on my aode tranny harness there is n o place to connect this female plug as i belive there should be a male plug that goes into it.

94-95's have 4 cats. 2 O2 sensors. That's the best I can do for you.

Good luck.

I went through the 3.8 to 5.0 swap, but I used the 5.0 from a donor 95 mustang, so I could not really tell you what the problem with the accelaration is, but I could help you with the exhaust & I think that white connector you are talkin' bout.
94-95 use 4 cats, two on each side.
the 3.8 engine uses 4 oxygen sensors, as for the 5.0 uses 2.
that white connector, IF it is the one close to the firewall on the passensger side, it is not used after the swap( I think) because its being 1½ years since I did the swap, and I have never had a problem with it. In conclusion, I dont think you should worry about it
