Default oil cooler hookup

So would it be wise to replace my radiator with one that has an oil cooler on it. Also are there hookups for this already on the stock 5.0 engine?

If figure this would be a good upgrade since It does get pretty hot here in the summer time.

Hey man,
All factory radiators have a cooler built in. Look at the rad and you will see two thin metal/rubber lines coming in. These are the tranny cooler lines.

Adding an external cooler is a good idea, especially in hot environments. Heat kills trans.

ok I guess I wasn't clear. I have a Man trans. What I was wondering was for just the engine oil. Like how they have coolers for power adders.
I guess I should have been more clear.
Sorry.

Well, an engine oil cooler is not a power adder. Adding one will keep oil temp down which in turn will make it live longer. Would help a bit with consistency by keeping engine temps down on hotter days or back to back runs as well.

No problem man. A lot of the old muscle cars had factory oil, trans and power steering coolers. By keeping the oils cooler, viscosity is improved for longer life. A good idea in any event.
