Default Why does oil come out of the dipstick tube every few days and pops out?

every few days my dipstick will be a few inchs out with some oil on the wires and fuse box! i dont know if i just need to change my dipstick or is the oil pressure too high...or something like that?
what do you guys think?

with the motor runing put your finger over the tube an fill if there is any pressure there. or smoke coming out of dipstick.
ifso you might have a bad ring-'s. bad rings will build up pressure in the crankcase an could cause leaks, pushed out dipsticks, rearmain leaks.ect.ect.

I second that.. I had the same problem on my older engine. I had to use air breathers on the valve covers, this took care of the problem. They make a breather that sits on top of the oil filler tube. That worked for me also. Also, check your pcv valve.

If you think it may have started after that intake then its very possible that your lower intake gasket is blown. The reason I say this is when I installem my 347 I had a lot of pressure coming out of the valve cover and in the dipstick. I had a problem with the engine and had to take it back out. When I took the intake off the lower gasket was blown. Intake air was coming in and going into the lifter valley causing the pressure. You may want to look into that....

I'd replace the screen that is underneath the pcv valve also. It could very easily be clogged and jammed packed with oil build up. It's kind of a pain to get out with the intake still in the car.Pull off the hose coming from the valve cover oil fill tube to the throttle body and see if there is any smoke coming out when warm (pull off at the throttle body end).

It could also be wearing out rings and producing a lot of blowby gases.

ditto to what ghostdog said. however, if you just noticed the problem after changing intakes, I would definitely look into the lower intake gasket. how many miles are on the engine?

ok my car is doing this same thing every once in awhile if i am reving the motor to 6000 and shifting hard i will check the dipstick and it will be out about 2 inches. My car has a vortech supercharger and i just did new head gaskets. I also am running 6 quarts of oil because i figured it wouldnt hurt since the supercharger is plumbed with oil lines. Has anyone ran a lokar firewall mount aftermarket dipstick. i messed up my dipstick tube when i was reinstalling the headers. and it is kinda wobbly.
