Question King Cobra Installed yesterday

I put in my King Cobra yesterday, and i had the flywheel machined and the ring gear flipped. I also replaced the rear main seal. My problem is that there is a funny vibration that is hard to describe. It feels like the clutch is sort of engaged but shaking. I torqued all the flywheel bolts to 85 lb.-ft. and the pressure plate bolts to 24 lb.-ft. It doesnt go away when the clutch is fully engaged or fully disengaged. Also it does it for like 2 seconds, then stops for a second or to then it does it again. You can feel it in the seat and steering wheel not the clutch pedal. My guess is the flywheel is not balanced or something? causing vibration? also it sounds a little more like a carbed race car with less smooth exhaust sound. it used to be really smooth up and back down but now its different, i checked everything, it just doesnt rev as freely anymore maybe?
Thanks, Craig

sounds like the clutch is chattering...this is caused by hard spots in the flywheel. hard spots means that whoever resurfaced it didnt do a good job.

dont go yell at the guy though because this is just an idea, but it really sounds like you have a chattering clutch.

i dont know because it is anytime, like in gear or out, idle up to like mid rpms, clutch in or out. today when i started it up it did its warm up idle thing then came back down to regular idle and when these vibrations hit it was like it was a rough idle and the voltmeter would go up and down accordingly. that was this morning and tonight on the way home from work i listened and heard some noises. 1) clutch in, in gear, little chirping noises, 2) accelerating, rubbing noise, shift, wastegate type noise. it still drives fine just all these noises and vibrations sheeesh

I just put a new auto in my car and am having a similar problem, car shakes like hell. I put the new flexplate weight in the same position as the old flexplate. What could be causing a vibration in an auto. This trans is an art carr street strip setup with a tci flexplate and an art carr 2800 stall.
