hey guys im looking at putting on some long tube headers on my car right now i have bassani shorties and i was looking at kook"s headers 4010 off of summit racing i was wondering are these good headers? has anyone ran them and installed them? and if the dipstick thing is a problem with the headers i could always buy a flexible dipstick from summit if so just wanna know how hard it is to install kook"s on a 95 gt auto? thanks guys
Yes. I've been running MAC long tubes for the last 4-1/2 years. Installation wasn't too painful. The dipstick tube needs to be bent forwards and the passenger side header runs close to the starter, but otherwise clearance wasn't an issue. I'm still using the original dipstick; it's flexible enough to slide in and out of a bent dipstick tube easily.
The Kooks headers are more expensive but they're generally regarded as one of the best on the market. The larger primaries are more suited to a forced induction engine so they might be the better choice for you.
