Default '95 convertible boot cover

I have a '95 convertible with a factory boot cover.
There are snaps on the cover, but none on the car.
Anyone know how the OEM boot cover fastens down?
Please email because I don't check the forum very often.
Thanks

Thanks, Are there any snaps on the bottom side of the your cover?
Mine has a snap on the drivers side and a short elastic strip sewn to the cover with a snap on the loose end.
The elastic strap appears to be too short to use to hold the thing together when you fold it for storage in the trunk.
There is nothing helpful in the owners manual.

There are no snaps used when installed. I think you are referring to the snaps attached to the elastic straps that are supposed to hold the side flaps in place when stowed in the trunk. Here's a similar cover.

You very well may be correct about the snaps and strap.
My boot cover doesn't lay flat.
On the highway, the wind pushes down along the back, looks like crap!
Can't believe Ford would put something out like this.
That's why I thought I was missing something here.
Will the after market hard covers stow in the trunk?

Mine works just fine...just gotta make sure the front lip is tucked into the backseat good. The other "clips" should keep it fastened down. Mine looks beautiful compared to no boot.

As for an aftermarket hardcover...it probably wont fit in the trunk. That's why the stock boot folds at the ends.

The ones underneath the boot that you slide under the trim. This may be why yours does not stay in place if you do not have them.

They are a flexible molded plastic and are integral to the boot itself. After you have positioned the cover over the opening and pressed the front edge strip into the attachment along the back of the seat you push forward to engage the plastic clip along the rear and sides to hold everything in place.
