Default Polishing wheels

Is there a way to polish these wheels up and make them shiny and stuff(like polished aluminum). Or is that coating on there to stay there. Is there a way to take if off, or should I just not mess with it? These are the wheels...any idea?

You can try some thing called "Autosol Metal Polisher" It works pretty good but with the rims you have I think they are coated with a protective clear coat kinda dealy. If there not I would give it a shot.

Back when I had my 88 I had a set of pony's that I wanted to get polished. I found a place to do it, they said like $30 per wheel plus shipping. I never had it done because the place was far away and I was scared they would screw them up. You could always have them dipped, I've seen some like those chrome dipped and they look great. I think it would be a big job. But if you do want to risk it, I know that some automotive wheel cleaners will strip the clear and the paint off. Yes I speak from expierence. Then after they are bare maybe wet sand them with about 1000 grit? Then polish. I wonder if you can put clear coat back on them after you polish them? If not they would go back to dull pretty quik. What about the center caps, they are plastic, maybe body color? Anybody have any more insite on this please share. They would look better polished IMO.

yes they would like nice polished. the 93 cobra r had those wheels. they were black with a polished lip. and as far as the centercaps go, i think those wheels would look nice without the centercaps.
