Need some assistance for a ’94:; short version, minor accident, bags popped, removed bags, now my control for directing the air from the heater is “stuck” on to only blowing on the windshield. Would someone be able to direct me to where I need to look to get that control functioning again?
Thank You
By stuck do you mean the dial on the climate control wolnt turn? If not its a vacumm related issue i went through the same thing. The climate control on our cars work with vacumm and if you lose it, it defaults to only blowing out the defrost. Go under the hood to the drivers side corner of the car and look for a vacumm tree and check for cracked or damaged lines. The one that controls the climate control is a lime the size of a piece of wire. Make sure it didnt come off or break. If everythings good there, start back tracking down the line to the climate control. Hope this helped some. Good luck!

I should have been more clear; by "stuck" I mean the dial turns but the air stays on the windshield no matter where the dial is set, even in the off position.
Thank You
I had the same problem earlier this year. There is a small vacuum line behind the intake that has a connector in the middle of it. Mine broke at the connector so all I had to do was reconnect it. Probably the force of the impact did the same thing to yours.
I have the same exact problem with mine, bought my car from a shop that was fixing it up after an accident and the owner stopped paying the bills for it, It is a vacuum leak for sure, I haven't found where my vacuum leak is yet though, it's somewhere under the dash I am thinking. Here's the link to my thread, YLDPONY was nice enough to point out where to start tracing the vacuum lines with an edited version of my picture. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...cuum-leak.html
Hope this helps, if you find where the leak is let me know! my air bags went off too, still need to replace them >.>
Thankfully for me though my air only goes to the windshield on any position other than off, sounds like you can't even turn the air off o.o

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...e-routing.htmli had the same problem and i fixed it in less than 5 min.. look at the pics and the line line next to the one that the guy is pointing at should be your problem inspect it and replace it.. it is a thin line that goes into the firewall together with the heater core grommet..
Vacuum line was broken at the connection on the drivers side in the engine compartment. Fixed that and the air now goes where I set the switch. Thank you for all of the great advice!
Is there a way to track down a leaking vacuum line other than visual? I still can't find the leak...

take a can of carb cleaner and just spray over all the vacuum lines with the engine running, But just a small amount. wouldn't want it to catch on fire. Have a rag handy encase the worst happens but i doubt it. Anyways, when you spray the carb cleaner around the lines listen for a change in idle the engine may even try to die if its a bad enough vacuum leak. And that should narrow it down for you.
