im putting a mach 460 in my 95 cobra and it didnt come with it stock. Is there a way to wire it in so that the amps work and also i have a sony deck. thanks dave

My car came with a Mach 460 system so I am was in a slightly different situation. I had a stereo shop replace my stock unit with a Kenwood, because the CD stopped working and so did the (-) volume. I quickly became tired of listening to my stereo full blast.

The guys at Audio Connections told me about the install when I picked up the car. They sell a little converter box that goes between the aftermarket stereo and the wiring to the amps making headunit swap a breeze. I think it costs about $35. You should be able to order it through crutchfield or check with your local stereo shop. The guys at Audio Connections installed my stereo in like 5 minutes, because the box they used was easy to work with. It had RCA cables to go straight into the Kenwood, reducing the splice time.

Call the guys at my stereo shop if you want. They should be able to help you out. Tell them the guy with the Blue Mustang GT that had the Kenwood EZ500 referred you. This is just in case I decide to have them redo my bubbling tint job Maybe my referral will reduce the $ damage.

They do good work. I was very happy with their service, but they may be too far away from you.

theres 3 harness you need to do the install .... www.mustangparts.com has em ---each harness is about $100.00 used. After you get all the harnesses go to ford and get a wiring diagram from them for free that will show you the routing of the harnesses and which plug goes where.
