My uncle wrecked his 03 cobra (heartbreaking i know), but ive heard it is easy to bolt the IRS from his car right onto my rear.
yes i know mine isnt IRS, but on of my friends assures me it isnt too complicated because that was fords ideal behind the whole thing; that they wanted to make it easy, and use the same shell/frame for the IRS and non-IRS
so basically:
1. Is this possible?
2. If so, how difficult would it be? (ie, would it require welding and crap, or would it all just bolt on?
3. If all that goes well, i have a tremec tko500, so i needed a driveshaft spacer when i did the swap, so would i need to continue using that, or would i possibly need another one, or something?
4. Any comments or concerns about this swap.
