I just purchased a 1995 gt that was involved in a accident. the air bags were deployed so they would need to be replaced. The seller told me that only '95 air bags would work. Is that true or can I use any other year? I was also told the air bag module needs to be replaced. where's the best place to purchase? any help is appreciated.

the airbag module will definately have to be purchased for your model year car, as for the bag itself, other years may work but i have seen people do that and it throws a code and the airbag light comes on, and if the airbag light is on then the system is deactivated and will not work as designed in a crash. id say the best place to get these items would be the dealer. its your best bet, expensive but best bet.
