Default Brake question

i have a 94 GT and i think there might be something wrong with my brakes. i know that the front brakes work harder than the back brakes (whatever the ratio is i dont know) but there doesnt seem to be much brake dust on the rear rims almost like there barely working. the front rims get a good coat of brake dust if i let it go but cleanup on the rear ones dont take nothing. also it seems like i have to try a little harder to stop the car...what kind of tests can i do to find out for sure if the back ones are working? or what can i do to fix it? thanks

Jack up the back end, spin the tires and see if the brakes stop them. Check your brake fluid and bleed it if necessary, but if the rear brakes are working it could be something as simple as higher quality pads not producing as much dust in the rear.
