Help please, I need a new clutch now. I am going to order a new clutch this week, mine is slipping. Does anyone know which clutch can handle ALOT of abuse? I've had the ford king cobra in other cars that seemed to work great so I'm leaning toward it for that reason but there may be a better one I don't know about, thanks.

I have the King Cobra Clutch and the pedal is very stiff and seems to get worse over time. In heavy traffic pressing the clutch gets aggravating. I would find something that grabs and clamps well but still has a light pedal like Centerforce Dual Friction. I have a partner who runs in the high 10's in the 1/4 mile and he has a SPEC Stage 3. His pedal is softer than mine. Take a look at their website http://www.specclutch.com/

SPEC STG 3, is what I've ended up putting in mine. I finally got the 450 mile break in period finished and man this clutch holds like nothing I've ever had before. I had a cf dual friction in a 90 gt once that was great but it didn't grab like this spec does. I'm running 295/50-15 tires in the rear and chirping 4th gear hard now when I powershift it. I'm going to the track tommorrow night to see if it helps my 1/4 times. My best run of 13.91 was on the stock clutch with 78k miles on it, it was getting tired on me going to 3rd it slipped a little. Hopefully I can atleast see a good 13.8. I would highly suggest the spec stg 3 for occasional strip use, it's a little tricky on takeoff because it grabs so hard but after the break in period it's almost as smooth as stock, with a slightly firmer pedal but nothing drastic. Spec says that the clutch will be as smooth as stock after about 600 miles, I'll be sure to post how it does at the track and on the street in a few more miles.
