allright guys, i blew the engine in my gt, and im looking to rebuild it.... my q's are what combo's have you used, and what est hp have you come up with, im not to sure what i want to do, ive thought about a sroker, but not to sure... im wanting 300+ just motor, later i will be adding a supercharger. but any info would be greatly appreciated... thanks
oh yeah the block i have is out of a 89 ford ltd 302, with 10,000 original miles...

In my opinion i would stay with a regular 302...only because i cant wait to smoke 350's and tell them its only a little 302..........

Well, bummer on your engine. But, here's what my dad has done with his '94 GT. 250whp/288wtq at Central Coast Mustang uncorked after H pipe (that's about 294HP/338TQ at engine). Here's how he did it. Ported Stock E7 heads with 1.7 roller rockers and springs with a 5 angle valve job, stock cam, ported stock tb to about 65mm, ported Explorer 5.0 manifolds with spacer added to plenum, stock MAS and injectors, bone stock short block too, billet flywheel and King Cobra Clutch, o/r H pipe, MAC equal shorties, a/f mixture adjuster, fuel pressure reg, and 190lph fuel pump. Its pretty stock. It ran 12.85 @ 106.4mph at Famoso with a 1.72sec 60ft.
Now, he just bought GT40P iron heads and is going to port them a little to clean it up and do a valve job. He also now has installed Long tubes. With the heads and long tubes, he's expecting another 20-25HP at engine. That's about 320HP/345TQ. Not bad with stock cam and stock short block at the 9:1 compression. Good luck.
