 WOW, I'm really impressed!!!!
To my 1994 cobra with full exhaust, I added a 70mm BBK T/B and 76mm C&L MAS/INTAKE today.
Some people may say this is a small mod thats not worth much power, but that wasn't the case on my ca. It made a drastic different considering what the mods were. I am not sure if it is was because it was starving for air beacuse of the exhaust I recently did, or that fact that since this pretty much has the same intake tract as the GT ( which has a worse intake and heads, comparatively speaking). But either way wow its nice to have something going my way for once.
Also, alot of people had told me, as well as others, to go with a 65mm throttle body unless your pretty well modded up. That may be true... ON A GT. But even on my pretty much stock 94 Cobra I lost NO LOW END at all, in fact it feels stronger right off idle, from 800 RPM(or so) up to redline. Again, it may be because of the cobra's better heads and intake compared to the lower horsepower GT, that allowed it to take full advantage of the 70mm.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know that now with the exhaust, mas and T/B my car really woke up, and its really strong compared to when it was stock just a few months ago.
I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on and in my opinion I DEFINITELY recommend a 70mm throttle body to anyone with a COBRA 5.0, and NO smaller, you won't lose the HP people claim. It is apparently a perfect match. Now on a GT I have no idea, never had one, but they are probably right. Lastly, on the cobra intake it is a 70mm inlet hole so no porting is nesseccary, it matches up perfect. But, if I remember correctly on a GT its a different story also.
I recommend both mods though on a cobra 5.0. It's made a very noticable difference on my car.
