Default Tire Size For 18" Wheels

Hello all, im getting a new set of wheels for my stang and need help on tire size. The front wheel is 18x9 rear 18x10. My car is lowerd 2" with Eibach sport line springs. Any help would be great. :thumbsup

Hello. I have had a similar question. I have 18x9 '95 Cobra R Replicas with 245/40/18's all around with the Prokit springs. That's the way I got it. The 245/40 is the cheapest size tire for 18's that are big enough. I think next set I'll get 275/40/18 all around. For you with the 18x10.5, you could go with 295 or 305/30's. I think some people even get the 315's. Huge. I think 275 in front and 305 in rear would be a good choice for ya My .02

Follow the "+2" rule...

8.5" wheel = 10.5" tire
9" wheel = 11" tire
10" wheel = 12" tire
etc.

1" = 25.4 mm

Do the math.

+2 rule, hadn't heard of that before. Sweet...

Here's the quick math on how wide these sizes are in inches:
275 = 10.83"
285 = 11.22"
295 = 11.61"
305 = 12.01"
315 = 12.40"
