Talking 95 GT went 12.16 @ 113.97 lookin' for 11's now!

Just got home from the track, I put on a used set of BFG comp t/a drag radials just to see how much they would help and I was shocked at how they gripped. I made one pass on them without heating them and ran 12.51 with 24psi, then I dropped them to 20psi and heated them mildly and ran 12.36 but the clutch slipped very bad in 2nd gear, I let the car and clutch cool down to make one last pass and heated the BFG'S alot, cut a 1.802 60ft taking off at 3500rpm's and ran a 7.80 in the 1/8th at 90.73 and ran 12.16 at 113.97 in the 1/4 with the clutch slipping a little when I shifted. I am impressed with the drag radials, I could have taken off harder if I had known they hooked that good but I don't think the clutch would have taken it, I guess I'll put my stage 3 back in this week and hope for the best with my little T-5 tranny. Just for comparrison, I ran a best of 12.53 at 112.5 on street tires, so gaining .37 tenths isn't bad for a $100 set of used drag radials, I wish every $100 gained half that much.

[quote=95blueoval]Do you have an upper and/or lower control arms? What about T/B? And I am assuming stock heads and cam as well?

I have Lakewood lower traction action lift bars but I'm not really impressed with them so far, the heads and cam are stock 80,000 miles now, the t/b is also stock which is hurting the car right now because I have a C&L 76mm maf and pipe and a GT-40 intake which has a 65mm opening and the t/b is only 60mm so I have a bottle neck right now. I forgot to mention the upper control arms are stock also, thanks for the reply, hope this helps.

Thanks, I'm pretty proud of the time myself, I never expected to get this close to 11's this summer but have some how. I went to the track last night again but my bottle was low, I cut a 1.770 60ft but I just didn't have enough bottle pressure for the car to run as strong as normal and only ran a 12.163 but my mph was up to 114.80. The 1.77 60ft should have been at least a 12.0 with what my car has been running, I'll try again on a full bottle this weekend, it's Z06 vette weekend at Beech Bend this weekend, I can't wait to see some Z06's in my mirror.
