my rear bumper

i bought my 94 cobra in june and realized that the bumper just says MUSTANG
not COBRA. am i crazy or was i tricked?

no im positive its a cobra , but i think the bumper was replaced at one point in time with a stock mustang bumper . what i wanna know is if SVT made a rear bumper that says cobra on it.i know the 96 and up have it

There was a post on this a little while ago, the bumpers didn't say cobra till 96, a 94 should just say "MUSTANG"

94-95 Cobra's just say mustang on them. They didn't say "Cobra" until '96.

Yes, the 94 and 95 just had a mustang rear bumper. But, their are many ways to tell if your mustang is a true cobra. Here are a few, an SVT badge on the trunk, up and to the left of the license plate. Another way to tell is the cobra had the word "cobra" on both the drivers and passengers side airbags. I doubt that anyone would go through the trouble to change those! Hope these help!

also the high stop light is on the wing of the 94-95 cobra. very sweet looking btw!

and yes like everyone said, the rear bumper will say Mustang.

SVT didn't have the new ones fabricated until 96 for the introduction of the 4.6

Driver air bag will say "Cobra." Passenger bag will not. Best way to tell is the VIN code...it's too easy to swap all other stuff out to create a clone.
