Hey guys i need a little bit of help here. I finally have some extra cash to treat my stang to some new heads. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can please give me theyre opinion on which are the best performance / horsepower gain heads out there?? If i need to change my TB setup to a 70mm thats fine or let me know what i need to do to get some MAJOR HP!! My goal is to reach 320HP+ thats what my friend is running on his 05' and no-one can take his ass out (well no-one around here anyway). I have to do soemthing to stop him from running his mouth so damn much!!! I HAVE TO SHOW HIM WHAT THE 5.0 IS ALL ABOUT!!
the most popular ones are AFR, TrickFlow an Edelbrock, personally I have Edelbrock performer No complaints at all. I would recommed you to replace the stock cam and get a computer chip as well. With you other mods, heads, cam and chip I believe you could reach your 320FWHP goal maybe a little more.
AFR 165s or 185s. I think they run about $1300, but I hear good things about them.

I think that with his your mods. a set of HEADS, CAM, AND CHIP, would take you to 320HP to the Flywheel. 320hp to the wheels, like StoneCold said, would take a little more. Either stroking the engine($$$$$) or a little shot of NOS

Maximumrisk - Regarding the HP being at the FlyWheel or Wheels Question. I did a bit of research and my friends 05' GT was dyno at 285 rwhp. So basically im just trying to get enough Power to Surprise the HELL OUTTA HIM! When someone finally takes him out at the track this month.
280-290 wheel HP is what you would get with the basic cam, heads and chip.
I think it would be a driver's race. Or you could get a nitrous kit if you want to leave him a couple of cars behind. A 75 shot should do the trick. You could get and used kit on Ebay, or buy the ZEX kit I have a home . (Went with a Turbo and no longer need it)
