If it wasme:
I would be looking to a switch that is affilated with the shifter. Like the reverse lights on older
cars was just a switch that the gear selector hit once you put it in reverse. So I would be looking for a switch maybe under the car or under the shift boot that might be loose.
The sending unit is just a pot (potential meter or variable resistor is you may) it just sends resistance readings I am assuming to not have power near the gas. That is like old school gas sending units, who knows what they got now. If it doesnt move at all I would look at the sending unit or take the dash out and look for burnt traces. You can take the take the clear bevel off and then use a small screwdriver to pry off the gas and temp gages, be careful, I have found messing around too much can mess them up more.
Can you get any cold air or is it all the time just warm. If its always warm I would look into the heater controls not being hooked up. I am assuming has water, no water nothing to heat up of course. Other then that I got nothing.
If there is a manual I would scan that real quick looking for something that might explain the beeping. My wife has this nice stereo that was in the car when we bought it. I know that annoying makes all kinds of racket when you start or kill the
motor.
