Default Sad sad story, what do I do now

Ok I went off to college this last year and seeing how i live in Iowa I needed a more winter vehicle to sit in the parking lot so I left my 95 GT sit at home. I recently got done with school and went out to start her up to to keep gas running through her. THis was the 3rd time I have done this since I left for school in August. Well this time when I opened the hood there was a rat that ran down the intake and there was rat crap everywhere. I was already disappointed. I put the battery in and she started right up but I couldnt really get it to rev above 3000 and it lagged bad and sounded choked.

The last time I ran it and drove it was december and I took off down the highway and got it to 100 and it ran alright it seemed to shake a bit top end but I thought that was due to my my brake caliper sticking. (exposed to a bit of snow for a little bit)

My question is could sitting for this amount of time have just clogged my injectors and intake to the point that its choking it off or would you suppose them damn vermits were snacking on wires?

I have recently gotten a house off to college with a nicer garage then where it is stored now so I am planning on fixing it but am lacking funds to do a lot right now I am just looking at doing GT40 intake/heads so I dont know if I may have other problems now.

If you are planning on putting a GT40 intake and head package on it anyway, put it in the garage and tear it down. You will be elbow deep in the engine compartment anyway and you will be able to tell if that rat did any real damage.

Clean your injectors when you are in there or replace them with new ones (preferably larger with a matched mass air).

Otherwise, give the engine compartment a good once over. How is the distributor cap and rotor? Plugs?

I never replaced the cap and rotor when I got it but the plugs should be good. There should only be about 5k on them. Well I guess in the next week or two I will be towing it and after I finish rebuilding my truck its on to the stang.

Its sad that my truck doesnt have a legal hitch on it so I will have to tow with my dads truck and its a chevy...disappointing to see a chevy have to haul a ford.

that rat might be dead or alive and stuck in the intake tract. does the engine feel fine up to the 3000 rpm? check the air filter housing and pull off the tube connecting to the tb to check for rat carcass.
