Hi,
This is my first post and I'm looking for some advice.
I've got 124000 on my '95 GT Convertible 5 speed suspension and I'm wondering whether I should just replace the shocks and struts or go all the way with the Tokico Advanced Suspension Handling Kit (HPK 209). It is very easy to loose the rear end in a power turn and I've never been very satisfied with its cornering capabilities. But will a kit like this help and can I trust Tokico?
It costs about $150 more to upgrade from the HP shocks and struts to the HPK 209. I expect it will also cost more labor to put the springs on? Any idea what I should expect for the two options?
Just the shocks and struts will have labor cost of: ______?
Installing the full HPK 209 with springs will cost: ______?
Here's the sales pitch:
A set of 4 ( 2 HB3140 front STRUTS , and 2 HE3723 rear ) TOKICO HP BLUE STRUTS/SHOCKS and 4( 2 front , 2 rear ) High performance Tokico lowering springs, with a 1.25 inch drop, TO FIT 1994 to 1998 Ford Mustang GT V8 excluding Cobra with IRS . These springs have been custom matched and fine tuned to work with these shocks, Tired of bouncing around ? Do it right. Track or street feel the difference with a smoother and incredible handling ride. AMAZING PERFORMANCE. Tokico Advanced Suspension Handling Kit ***HPK 209***. Day and night difference over stock, the best parts you will replace in your car.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Jim
