Are axle shafts from 7.5 and 8.8 rear ends interchangeable?

i have asked this question before but never got a definitive answer.
are the axle shafts from a 7.5 and 8.8 interchangeable? same model year on both rear ends 94-98. diameter, splines.? thanks

found it. yes they are interchangeable. they are the same ford part number and the axle bearings and seals are the same also. just wanted to know if i could buy a 7.5 rear end for my disc conversion, and for all of you whom were wondering the same, yes you can.
