Default Rim Info for 15x10 rears and 15x5 fronts

Hello group i have only aksed questions of everyone and i have not added any knowledge to the threads. I was going for the drag race look with my 95 mustang and i could not find definite answers at any local tire shops or on any threads that i read online, about what was the biggest rim and offset that would fit with my car. Here is what i founf by trial and error. My local performance tire shop told me that i can run a 15x10 in the back of my car, the idiot over there told me the wrong backspacing to get he told me that a 15x10 with a 5.5 inch backspacing is what i would need. I called up Summit and ordered the Weld Draglite with this exact dimensions 15x10x5.5 Backspacing. The rim got here looked great and everything went to test fit it on the car and the rim with no tire was even with the side of the fender, It looked pretty redneck if you ask me. I was pissed i payed extra for overnight shipping because i was going to tak me car to a car show today. So i was screwed my back rims would not fit correctly so my Mickey thompson ET street tire could not be mounted. So for anyone wanting to know the backspacing for a 10 inch rims it needs to be 6.5 inches that will sit the tire and rim under the fenders. For tires i am going with 26x10.50x15 M\T Et Streets. For front tires i found that a 15x5 Weld Draglite rubs the caliper so a half inch spacer is needed as well as about 3\8 of an inch ground off the caliper. For the front i went with the NEW M\T Sportsman SR radials in 26x6x15 they look great. If there are any more questions post in this thread and i will try to answer the question.

Any ideas of what rim you would need on the front to eliminate the need of the spacers and the grinding?

Gerry. I also want to put 15x10 wheels on. I want to use the weld prostar. I also read a thread in a different forum that stated you "needed the 15x10 with the 5.5 backspace". I saw a picture of this car. The tire sat outside the wheelwell by about an inch or so. Did your tires fit without any rubbing or modifications to the rear end? I think the front calipers need to be ground down and there is no way around that right?

the front brakes have to be grounded down to fit any weld prostar wheels. A spacer is recommend for it to clear the brake caliper with the grinding. Also, I highly suggest getting some extented wheel studs because the stock ones are too short and won't make it through the whole rim, it'll only go half way through. The 15x10 6.5 bs is the correct setup for the back. I recomment taking the quad shock off because it might rub when approaching driving ways at steep angles. The wheel sits flush to the body.

You could go with a 275/50, they would fit well. As for the squat, you might want to look into some different lower control arms like the ones from Maximum Motorsports, Steeda, or Granatelli. They have the adjustable spring perch and will allow a slight raising of the rear to prevent that squat/tire rub issue.
