Default 1993 Mustang Cobra Intake on my 1994 Mustang will it work?

hey, what all would be needed to put a '93 cobra intake on my '94? i dont like the 94s plaque and plus it doesnt flow as good. i know the flow difference is nearly insignificant but the '93 looks so much better. has anyone here done this? It has to be all hooked up with nothin hangin off thanks Craig

it should fit without a hitch. you just have to use an inlet adapter... like the one ford motorsports sells.

its not worth gettin an intake without new heads on the 5.0's

but yes it will fit just fine, all you need is whats called an elbow adapter that trickflow and ford make along with a few other companies, its roughly 80 bucks.

SVO adapter from www.summitracing.com is $134.00 --Thats what Im using...great peice. Summit also sells the new strut tower brace you WILL need to accomdate the intake.
Part Number for brace: FMS-M20201A51 <-$124.00 It gets to be an expensive operation, also if your going to be down that far inside the block why not install 1.7 Rocker Arms? Get some 351 pedstal mount valve covers and your set! Just a thought, but good luck

Spyder an intake is a great mod even if you do not deicde to run heads. Gain some on your 1/4 time and they look cool. I know heads turn your car into a bullet but $1,000 is a lot of money. Performance cost's way to much money ...My GT40 intake is half way done and I plan to finish by saturday...Im excited to see what this does. I also installed some new 1.7 Proform Rocker Arms for the heck of it. $150.00 for 16 isnt bad and Im happy with them. If I get heads (which I am) There really going to awaken the intake, but it still will help without them.

so there are no differences with EGR stuff or coolant lines or anything, just "installation is reverse of removal" except for the elbow?

The intake does help, the stock one flows even less than the stock heads so the larger GT40, Cobra or Explorer would at least flow enough for the stock ET7s.

Nope, EGR will connect to the summit SVO dadpter perfect. Lines all fit vaccum etc..."installation is reverse of removal"

93 had a 302 so doesnt the 95 so dont worry to much about fitments of the intake..Im using a GT40 intake which just BARELY fits... The strut tower brace is a must as I above posted. I just got mine today...GREAT piece!

Yo Mack

I got the SVO elbow from Summit too, and hopefully I'll have my GT40 intake on as well. The elbow is a great piece with all of the bolts and gaskets. Glad I don't have to chase those down at the hardward store......

I haven't put my stuff on yet and still need to get another strut tower brace. Once work lets off in a week or so, I'll get busy on my car this winter and hopefully have it all dialed in by summer.

Yea I like the SVO also. Ive run into a few problems with my lower tho. I broke a bolt off and now my intake is all messed up. A friend got th eidea of lets dirll it out...Well not its at a machine shop so you know how that went ...Im hoping to have this stuff on soon, the car has been down for 2 weeks and Im getting tired of not being able to drive the stang. Maybe next week she will be dont and ready to go. Good luck with your setup!

The 93-cobra intake has a built in egr spacer/mount, so wouldn’t the elbow adapter stick the t/b out too close to the strut tower. The explorer and GT-40 dont have a built in egr plate as far as I know, so those would work just fine. Or did I just sell my 93 Cobra intake for no reason

They're really close to being the same, the Cobra and Explorer I mean.
