if anyone could help i have a powerdyne s/c and only the accessory belt squeaks when cold, i tried to tighten and loosen but no difference, when the car warms up theres no squeaking.
Right now its tighten all the way but still sqeaks not as much as when i loosen up a little but still..any tips would be appreciated .
i tryed rubbin dry soap it works then but when car gets cold it will sqeak again
Maybe a bit of belt dressing also check to make sure the belt is not riding in the bottom of the pullys if its a v belt if so it may be to small or worn pulling it to tight will do this and is very bad on bearings to have that much pressure on them also it may be a bearing making the noise when crank it cold and while it is making the noise spray a little belt dressing on the pulling side of the belt if it stops making the noise its the belt if not its a bearing. don't put a lot of the belt dressing on just a couple of very short spays should do the trick most people put to much and it makes a mess as it slings off the belt
