Is your rear end stock?? I launch drag radials, 13psi at 4500 rpm and run 1.8 60's. When I run the slicks, I run at 14psi and launch at 5K on the nitrous. Literally dump the clutch. One thing to tell you is I have a built rear and clutch. If your stock, I would say launch at 4K. Good luck...practice makes perfect.

When I was racing about 2 years ago I use to launch about 4k...I had stock rear end except the 3.73's with slicks....After a few of those weak launches my buddy said just let it rip...So I wound it up to 5k-5300 and let it rip...After that I always stayed in the 1.7-1.8 60 ft...That was with no suspension work at all.. The way it came from the factory....I ran 13.5's....Now that I', going to be back racing next fall I will be running some bigger axels ....Hopefully mid-low 11's all motor in my convertible tank....

If they are the ET streets you don't have to do a monster burnout..Rev it to about 5,000 and get going...Remember to shift basically soon as you launch...Axles don't cost much..Just a couple hundred.

What air pressure are you running?? Drop them to 14 psi and watch them hook. Also put 50 pound sin the front tires..less rolling resistance.
