 cam or 1.7r.r's???
ok guys need your help here... I currently have 1.7r.r's in my car, i am running a blower seeing 8lbs , cobra upper/lower, 65mm t/b , mac exhaust, etc etc i was pushing 313rwhp before blown gasket/cracked head (will find out soon which one), the question is will a cam give a load of hp over the 1.7r.r's my friend that work on 89-93 mustangs said that an aftermarket cam will give me so much hp and that prob the reazon i have a blown h-gasket its because i was using the stock cam..what you'll think about that???? i told him a cam doesnt matter as much as the heads because the heads are the most restrictive, he still insist i should do a cam before aftermarket heads?? i need your opinion guys... i think i should get a nice set of heads: edelbrok, tfs, or afr165's before the cam, i think since i have a blower and 1.7r.r's to help with lift and duration i am ok, and heads will really wake my motor up ...i am looking for 400hp+ i dont know much about heads and cam but i think blower and heads combi will be better than cam and blower ...i need some help from the experienced what should i do |
