use the 185 with 64 cc combustion chambers. upgrade the springs for the bigger cam.

Yeah, you're right on all accounts. AFR 185's on a street motor would sacrifice power down low for peak power upstairs. The overall direction and needs of my project have changed in the middle of this thread. I originally was going to do a blown, carb'd 331 stroker. Now that I've revisited the math and the cost of such a motor, I've decided that the blower is out of the question. I still need the power upstairs and I'm willing to sacrifice the bottome end torque to make the car a high RPM screamer.

Cool link, but that thing is quite comparred to mine.could be because of the side dumps on the linked car. I have the 3" dumps at the muffler that echoes off the ground(freaking LOUD)!!!!!!!Only for the track.
I read alot about the heads but what cam would some of you use for a 331 stroker w/ AFR 165's. I am thinking of using a extreme energy cam as listed earlier in this link or going with a custom cam.

Don't like your f303 any more?-or just not enough for what you want?

The F303 won't be big enough for the new combo. I will be moving more air and fuel so i'm gonna need to hold the valves open a little longer.
