I was just wondering how many of you have cold air intakes where the air filter is located in the fender above the tire. And do you drive the car in the rain? I recently returned home from a lenghty visit to jail and let my wife use my mustang to get to work, pick up the kidsfrom school ect. And when I took off my air filter to clean and recharge it with oil i noticed alot of dried up dirt inside the intake pipes that was caked on and looked as if when it was sucked into the system it was wet and then dried. is there anything that i can purchase or make that may seperate the water if it does get sucked up into the intake? or is there another system I can get that would eliminate the idea of the filter above the tire and still get the same performance? Thanks.

Shield the filter, i did this using a plastic bucket just a bit larger than the filter, i also drilled some holes at the bottom of the bucket so water has a way to drain.
