Unhappy convertible top coming undone

I was driving my car on the highway when the top of the car exploded open. I recently put silicone glue to temporarily try to hold the front part of the top to the car. I saw a plastic strip that the top had been stapled to . when i tried to staple it down with my staple gun it wouldnt work. On top of that i ended up breaking the plastic strip trying to staple it. How do i fix this and where can i find the plastic piece to staple it to? Also what kind of staple gun do i use

That kinda cracked me up influenze, I've never heard of someone trying that. First take your car to an experienced upholstery shop to see if they can salvage what's left of your top. Second, if you want your car to look right, leave the repairs to the pro's. Upholstery can very difficult and very unforgiving, especially if your running around with a staple gun.

yeah, i took it to the pros and they fixed it with a, you guessed it , a staple gun! the silicone i put on it held up though but it needed to be stapled. i just spent 200$ for someone to staple my top, a job i could of done if i had a staple gun for my air compresser, go figure
