Exclamation Help! Headlights Not Working on my 1995 Mustang GT?

OK I have a 95 GT and thought I had a bad headlight switch. I went to the dealership and bought a new one, installed it and now I have everything but the headlights, where before with the old dswitch I had headlights and no park lights. The headlights will work if I pull the multifunction switch to the rear and will get the highbeams on. LMAO I tried to call the dealership, and they were trying to sell me a multifunction switch. Has anyone else had this problem before, could it really be the multifunction switch? I did check all fuses.

Default the headlights

Yeah I had the same problem, except mine were on the blink. yeah and my brights worked only when I pulled the multiFx switch back. I not only switched the headlight switch, but also the turnsignal, wiper, high-beam switch...also known as the multi-function switch. Now I have no problem with my headlights and are much more reliable.

The headlamp feed goes from the headlight switch to the mulrifunction switch then out to the headlamps. The power that turns on the low beams is switched to the high beams by the multi function switch. Check to see if any of the connectors are melted and causing a loose contact condition. Here is a copy of the headlamp wiring schematic. Hope this helps!

Default Big Thanks!!!

I would like to thank this community for their help! After a little more looking I found that the harness to the headlight switch was tore up and melted in some spots. I went to a wrecking yard and got a replacement. Everything is working now so I do appreciate the help. I am hoping not to find the multi-function switch doesn't go next.

Mark.
