yeah let me know i would appreciate it if i had to do shorties again i would go another brand, i am going to try some new header gaskets and try to bolt them down pretty good as much as i can, I wish there was a tool to get to those bolts nicely without being a pain in the neck, so u think its the gaskets, i hope rather than engine internals

My gasket was making a loud ticking almost rapping sound. A copper gasket and locking header bolts did the trick. The gasket which came with the headers had three ports burnt and one with a hole the size of a dime. The gain in low end torque was actually very noticeable!

well i hope its the damn gasket, every time i rev the car or when cruising i can hear from the headers a tickin noise, but only when i'm stepping on the throttle pedal if not there's no sound at all + plus the car feels like it lost power.

I had a leak between the header and the H-pipe, and it sounded like a tick from inside the car. I tightened it up, and fixed it.
I use an ignition-style wrench for some of the hard to reach header bolts.
