 Which timing set marks to use on Ford Racing damper?
I purchased Ford Racing damper part # M-6316-C351 for my '91 347. I know the damper can be used with 289, 302, and 351 blocks and works with timing pointers at 10 oclock, 11 oclock, and 2 oclock but I just cant seem to line it up correctly. I thought it was supposed to use set A, but it doesnt seem right...
To make matters worse Im using the MSD crank trigger and the OEM timing pointer has been omitted.
FYI - I am using this damper because the engine builder recommended it and balanced it to my rotating assembly(28oz).I am running a 302 block and 5.0L HO cam timing.
