Exclamation Need Help! Fluid levels good but Low Coolant Light keeps coming on?

My low coolent light comes on for a little bit then goes off. But when I check the raditor and the over flow they are both good. Is it possible that the sensor is bad???? any one know

I have the same problem with my 1991 Mustang. I bought it to a garage and had diagnostics run on the computer to determine the problem. According to the mechanic my coolant cap sensor needs to be replaced. I have one on order but since it is not yet installed I cannot tell you whether it fixes the problem. Will post back and let you know once its installed.

I recomend changing the coolant temp. sensor, and maybe also the radiatior cap, since they are both fairly cheap. if not try flushing the radiator. good luck!

I had same problem and all I had to do was take a file a scrape the pins of both the male plug. I think the metal oxidizes and loses the good connection. This must be a common problem on Mustangs.
