There is a 95 GT at a local dealer with 62k miles on it asking 6900. Car looks to be in good shape but i havent driven it yet. I had a 98 mustang 3.8 which is still running great with about 85k. Do you guys think this is a good deal? If it runs good and i end up getting it what would you guys recomend doing upon purchasing as far as preventative maintanence. This car will be my daily driver and i would like it to last to 100k.
If you're looking for good power, it can't be a bad thing. If you're looking for reliability and fuel efficiency you would have to know more specs about the car. Also, definately test drive it before! Who knows what could be wrong, or what you might find that you don't like.

I know my Mustangs really well. Not too informed about the 5.0 tho. From what i always thought the 5.0 was a GREAT engine great well into 100k miles with solid compression and reliability. Fuel efficiancy isnt an issue with me but reliability is important since like i said it will be my daily driver / work and play commuter. I just sold an 04 Dodge SRT4 which was a POS

i think the mustang is a little bit expensive, isnt it ?? i would say 5900 depending on the engine and the interior.. And why was the SRT-4 a pos ???just curious..
i paid $5000 for mine. And I now have 130,000 on it the 5.0 and its still running strong. Thats what the unmarked cop car told me when he pulled me over for passing him in the turnign lane.LOL

That price is way too high. Regardless of mileage, the blue book value shouldn't be much past 5500 for a GT, if past that at all.
I say offer the guy 5000 and see if he doesn't just take that offer on the spot.
If you really are interested in picking up an sn95, check through autotrader and/or the classified ads. You'll get much better prices than with a dealer and if you know what to look for, you can avoid the lemons and get a ton of car for your money. Mustangs are such a common car out there on the used car market that the buyer always has the advantage of negotiating the price simply to to supply.
Thx for the input guys. This is a dealer price and i have not negotiated yet. The Retail Blue Book is 6500 in perfect condition with that amount of mileage. Its a 1 owner car with obvious garaged winters. I may be checking it out tommorow. Im thinking of starting an offer of 5500 and see where i stand. Would it be worth paying 6k for it? To me this seems like a great deal for the mileage and if its in good condition.
Oh and the SRT4 i had was basically just a teen rice mobile. It was very fast no doubt but i had a faulty fuel injector within the first 2 months dealer gave me the run around. Lil noises started to pop up. Just wasnt worth the price. For the speed yes. For the quality No.
hey steve if you want a daily driver/reliable mustang with decent power i have one for sale its a 94 gt with just 100k miles has 383rwhp 450torque its e sleeper since it looks stock you can look it in allfordmustangs classifieds i'll take 5500
