Exclamation Disappointing dyno tune w/ Trick Flow heads

I just got back from having my stang dyno tune at a local shop, and to say the least I'M DISAPPOINTED. Here are my numbers:

268 rwh/304 ftlbs
The numbers I believe are alittle low, but the biggest let down is my car is still running like crap. My car will surge or spurter when I'm coasting. I explained this to the shop, and they attempted to fix the problem. Guess what...They didn't, and their response was, "no tune will be able to get the sputer out, because of the cam" I find this very hard to believe. I see a number of mustang's with larger cams than my trick flow setup with no problems.

I need some advise and recommendations. I feel like selling my motor.

Those numbers are just about right for your combo.

I can only assume your disappointed because maybe you were chasing that fabled 300hp mark?

No, not really. I plan on installing a supercharger within the year. I'm really disappointed in the driveability of my car.

Can you take it to another shop to be tuned? Those cam numbers are slightly milder than a Ford E-Cam.

It looks like I will have to. I heard running with the devil in alabama is the best, but I really don't want to drive all the way to AL if I don't have to. Does anyone know of a great shop in louisiana, texas, or mississippi?

B/c its the efi out of a 94-95 will spit and sput with 30 lbs injectors and maf. You have to have a chip burnt or get a programer like the
tweecer r/t from www.tweecer.com if you are going to put a supercharger on it later i would say go with the tweecer b/c with a burnt chip you would have to re burn the chip. with the tweecer you just play with the settings

Yep...you need a chip burned..will solve those issues asap. I am running 52 pound injectors with a MAF calibrated to 42's. The SCT tunes sorted that out, runls like a champ, starts and idles like from the factory.

they installed a super chip and burnt two different settings on it.

But I think I may have figured out my problem. I installed spark plugs for factory heads. I need 3/4" plugs. Will this solve my problem?

The spark plugs may help, but I don't think it will fix your problem. I believe you took it to a shop that doesn't know what they're doing. The 94/95 5.0 computers are a little harder to tune, but unless you really have something wrong with the motor, there is no reason why it shouldn't run like stock. If you paid with a visa, call them and get your money back. Then take it to a reputable tuner. Your numbers do seem a little low with what a good tuner can get out of a combo like yours.

Plugs could solve your problem because your spark is not reaching the port area and is scattering which acts like a miss/stumble.
